How do you differ from other publishers?
GATEKEEP is built to be simple, transparent, and creator-first. There are no setup fees, no long onboarding process, and no hidden costs. You keep full ownership of your work, receive clear quarterly payments, and get access to fast, responsive support from people who actually work in music publishing. Our goal is to remove friction and help you collect what you’re owed—without locking you into unnecessary complexity.
What are your standard terms?
Our standard administration terms are an 85/15 split in your favor, with no setup or onboarding fees. This is more creator-friendly than traditional publishing administration deals, which often take 20% or more and charge upfront costs. Our terms are transparent and flexible, and we work with you based on the size and needs of your catalog.
Why is there an application to join?
We use an application so we can be thoughtful about who we work with. By keeping our roster intentionally small, we’re able to offer more hands-on support, faster communication, and more efficient royalty collection—so you get paid accurately and on time.
How and when do I get paid?
Royalties are paid quarterly with clear, easy-to-understand statements. We prioritize accuracy, transparency, and timely payouts, and we offer payments through all common payment providers so receiving your royalties is simple and convenient.
Can I leave if it’s not a good fit?
Yes. Our agreements are structured as simple one-year rolling terms, and you can cancel at any time. We don’t believe in locking creators into long contracts—our goal is to earn your trust by delivering value.
